Fearless

Hey there! Been a while since I uploaded anything. -.-
Thought I'd get back on the ball with an awesome illustration for IF.

This weeks theme is 'Fearless' thankfully is fits pretty well with my most recent illustration.

I love this movie. And to me, Jack was pretty fearless when he pursued his dream. No matter how twisted the idea was. Even when his friends were a little ify about the idea, he went with it anyways. ^-^

This is going to be the skin of my friends laptop. I like the way it turned out. :)

Linked

Hey there!
Guess what?! I finished my IF illustration for this week! Yay! This one was also very fun. :)

I kind of went with my pin-up thing again. ^^
Her hands are linked! It counts. :P

I wish I had more time to work on this. But I've got loads of work to do right now. Also I'm kind of digging the looseness to it. And it's suppose to be done for Friday, which is in... 40ish minutes.

Anywho, hope you like it. :)

DIP

I had so much fun on this weeks Illustration Friday! ^-^

OKAY! So, it took me a bit to think beyond chip dip and skinny dipping. But I finally thought of something I actually wanted to do. Jessica Rabbit!

In the movie "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" the main villain created this toxic stuff that killed toons. He called it "The Dip". So that's what is in the barrel.

And I adore Jessica Rabbit. Also it kind of goes along with the whole pin up project over on my other blog. XD

Rescue

Yay illustration friday!

So, this may not be exactly what you think of when you hear the word rescue. But, another word for rescue is save.

I know I can't be the only one this happens to, but, the teachers always tell us, 'save, and save often'. Yeah, sounds simple enough, but when you get all into your work, it can be easy to forget. And, occasionally this little guy pops up. Now, he may look harmless, being all colourful and pretty-like. But, he's the devil. I swear they disguise him with rainbows just to distract me from how truly tragic he is.

And if you're like me; sometimes forgetting to save for a long period of time, this is not a fun experience.

You know the five stages of grief? Well, when this happens, I go through something very similar.
Denial: "No, no. Okay, just wait a few seconds, it will go away. I only have a few things open. There's nothing to get upset about."
Anger: "Now you listen here computer! I swear, if you don't stop I'm throwing you out the window. I'll do it!"
Bargaining: "Please, please stop. I'll do anything you want. I'll save every five seconds from now on if you'll just stop! D:"
Depression: "All that work.. what am I going to do?" *sobs and curls up into the corner*
Acceptance: "Gah! I have to start again." (That's probably a mix of anger, but that's at what point I actually start again. To me, that's as accepting as I get)

There really should be like a Mac god that rescues you from this sort of thing...

Ride for Cancer Postcard

Hey there!
So after my last blog entry this next one is probably going to seem less morbid. But not exactly a bowl full of sunshine.
It's meant to raise money for research for Cancer. And it's suppose to reference this in some way.

I kind of went the more symbolic way. See where it took me. I think it turned out okay. :)

I think I should probably explain. The girl is like dead. But coming back to life because of the fairy things above her. ZOMBIE! No, I'm kidding.
But really, the girl is symbolizing a person with cancer (not to say that they are dead, but feeling hopeless, and lost), and the fairies are the research for cancer, bringing her back to life, or giving her hope.
That may or may not of been another Zelda reference..

I'm not sure if it was okay to go all dark with a subject like cancer on the plate, since it is kind of a sensitive subject. But, I put hope into it with the pretty fairies. :)

I think that's all.

Expired

Just kind of a warning to anyone really sensitive. My illustration is kind of morbid. If you're offended easily I wouldn't look down..

Okay, so this weeks IF topic is "Expired".
I was actually debating on whether to put this up here or not. I never really know when art is crossing the line or not.. But I remember in art history class the teacher always saying that lots of artist pushed the envelope. (That's not to say mines that far out there. Perhaps just mildly offensive) But I always worry about offending people, cause.. cause I wanna be nice..?

So I figured, if people have any kind of an emotional reaction to this, whether it be shock, find it funny, or just flat out mad at me for 'going there', then I kind of succeeded. Cause that's what art is suppose to do.. right?

Okay, seriously don't know what else to say. I'm just trying to fill space before the picture so that the little warning thing isn't completely useless if the picture is to close to the top that you see it anyways.

Hope it's not terrible that I did this. >.<

Subterranean.

Hey there.
So, this weeks IF topic is Subterranean.

You would not believe how long it took me to think of something for this. I almost thought I was going to have to resort to drawing Diglett from Pokemon. Which would be the only other idea I had for this.
Kind of funny, but I can't imagine it being very challenging to draw..

Don't laugh, (okay, you can laugh) but when I was a kid, my dad convinced me that if I where to dig to far into the ground that I'd end up in China. (I liked to dig holes in the beach, and I was a very gullible kid)
Anyways. This idea just kind of popped into my head at about 4:00 am last night, which woke me up. And I wrote it down, still half asleep, so that I would remember when I woke up today. Since it was so darn important, that it needed to wake me up, it must of been worth remembering, right?

Yeah, good plan Mischa. It's a good thing that my writing is totally legible when my eyes are still all blurry (sarcasm). I almost needed a decoder ring to decipher the random squiggles I'd written. But I did manage you figure it out. :)

Hope you like it!
